Over the past five years, the company has witnessed remarkable improvements in water
and sanitation infrastructure, thanks to the support of the County Government, National
Government, and other Donor Partners. This progress includes rehabilitation, replacement,
and installation of new water pipelines.
With enhanced capacities in Oyugis, Homa Bay, and Kendu-Bay schemes, our company is
poised to meet its water consumption needs in the next five years, provided we receive the
necessary investment, environment and support.
A heartfelt appreciation goes out to all our development partners who have been instrumental in this journey. We look forward to continued harmonious cooperation with them as we forge ahead. May God Bless you all.

About Homabay County & Sanitation Company
2006. The company was formed by the defunct local authorities and given the mandate of providing water and sanitation services within eight sub-counties:- Mbita, Suba, Kasipul, Karachuoyo, Rangwe, Kabondo, Ndhiwa and Homa Bay township. The utility has six Schemes namely Homa Bay, Oyugis, Mbita, Kendu Bay, Ndhiwa and Karachuonyo schemes. HomaBay County Government is the major shareholder of the company. In August 2014, South Nyanza Water and Sanitation Company changed its name with the Registrar of companies to Homa Bay County Water and Sanitation Company Limited, in the spirit of devolution, which mandated County Governments with the responsibility of water and sanitation services provision within their respective counties.
